The first ever Polish-Aboriginal Fraternity Flights over Mount Kosciuszko took place on April 15, 2012 at the Jindabyne Aero Club, during K’Ozzie Fest. Two Ngarigo elders as well as their relatives including great grand children participated in the flights.

Watch this short video documenting the sixth K’Ozzie Fest in Jindabyne at the base of Mt Kosciuszko. The event was organized by Kosciuszko Heritage Inc with Puls Polonii www.pulspolonii.com as a principal media sponsor. The highest peak of Snowy Mountains, Mt Kosciuszko was named by P.E. de Strzelecki after General Tadeusz Kosciuszko, international fighter for Democracy, equal rights and freedom.

Kosciuszko fought in the American Independence War and in Poland, after the country partition by the neighbouring Russia, Prussia and Austria. The partition followed soon after Poland declared the first in Europe democratic Constitution.
