The compass is a symbol that stands for direction, purpose, moral guidance and discovery. Kosciuszko Heritage’s vision is built on ideas; the organisation’s actions, like the compass, are real.
This navigational instrument also represents exploration and adventure, and was the tool used by Kosciuszko and especially Strzelecki, for whom it would have been indispensable on trips to various parts of the world.
The points of the star created by the needles form the letters K, H, I, which stand for Kosciuszko Heritage Inc.
