Kosciuszko Heritage has organised a dinner with Prof. Wladyslaw Stepniak, the Director of the Chief National Archives (Naczelne Archiwa Państwowe) in Poland and a Member of UNESCO’s World Memory body.
Committee members Andrzej Kozek, Ursula Lang and Ernestyna Skurjat-Kozek attended the dinner, along with Adam Baniecki from the National Archives in Wroclaw.
Discussions focussed on the proposed plan to enter Sir Paul Edmund Strzelecki, the famed international explorer and humanitarian, onto the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. The idea to create a T. Kosciuszko Institute in Australia was also considered.
