Kosciuszko Heritage has been represented at the annual Polish Christmas Festival in Darling Harbour.
The Festival’s Master of Ceremonies, Dariusz Paczyński (a committee member of Kosciuszko Heritage), announced the formation of Kosciuszko Heritage. On its behalf, he also invited everyone to next year’s Kosciuszko Festival, which will take place on April 14 and 15, 2012, in Jindabyne.
The theme of T. Kosciuszko and P. E. Strzelecki was also conveyed by the young artist Olivia Kierdal. She sang the song that she composed for the first Kosciuszko Festival (in 2007).
“Dressed in a flowing, pink dress, she bravely resisted the gusts of wind and the cold,” said Ernestyna Skurjat-Kozek, the president of Kosciuszko Heritage. “We hope she did not fall ill after the festival.”
The Polish Christmas Festivals, held in Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour, have been running for eight years.
